Unseen Forces That Shape Our Lives: "THE ANOMALY"

In the heart of East Sumba, our extended family spends hours each day walking long distances to collect water. These daily treks take children away from school and deprive parents of precious time that could otherwise be spent earning a living. Even more heartbreaking, the water they rely on often carries harmful diseases that threaten their health.

Access to clean water has the power to transform lives in profound ways—unlocking opportunities for education, improving income, and safeguarding health. At IMME, we believe we all have a role to play in driving change. That's why we’ve chosen to dedicate this fashion project to the resilient families of East Sumba, highlighting their daily struggles and inspiring action.

This photoshoot, with its powerful water-themed concept, is a tribute to the hardworking individuals of Sumba who fight every day for something as basic as clean water. Through this project, we hope to shed light on their challenges while encouraging all of us to make a difference.

We are proud to support the Sumba Foundation in their mission to improve access to clean water in the region. Visit sumbafoundation.org to learn more.

HAIR AND MAKE UP

The wet-look hairstyle made a major comeback in 2017, dominating runways, red carpets, and street style. It's the perfect blend of sophistication and chic—sleek, modern, and effortlessly cool. For this photoshoot, the wet hair effect plays a crucial role in capturing the essence of "coming out of the water," creating an immersive vibe that ties perfectly into the story we want to tell. It also complements the natural, minimal makeup, enhancing the raw and effortless beauty we wanted to showcase. This simple yet striking look adds another layer to the narrative, reinforcing the spirit of resilience and strength in the face of adversity.
